    The Brazilian Biogas and Biomethane Association (Abiogás) was founded in 2013 by the gathering of people and companies who wanted to see these biofuels disseminated in the Brazilian energy matrix. Its purpose is to bring together the interests of companies, whether established in Brazil or abroad, involved in developing the production and consumption of biogas and biomethane.



    The Brazilian Auto Parts Industry Association (Abipeças) works to develop and strengthen this sector, which is made up of small, medium and large companies throughout the country. It comprises more than 500 members, with national and foreign capital, who supply all of the Brazilian automakers and the aftermarket, meeting the demands of around 47 million vehicles (in 2022). They also export to approximately 180 markets. It works together with the National Union of the Automotive Components Industry (Sindipeças), which reached its 70th anniversary in 2023.



    The Brazilian Automotive Engineering Association (AEA) is a non-profit organization that aims to be a neutral forum for discussing strategic issues related to national automotive engineering with the direct involvement of the automotive industry, government bodies, educational and research institutions, international entities and society in general.



    ALCOPAR – The Bioenergy Producers’ Association of Paraná, a trade organization representing bioenergy producers of that state. Its aim is to provide services to the local bioenergy agroindustry, in all its forms, especially to its members.



    BIOINDMT – Bioenergy Industries of Mato Grosso, affiliated to the Federation of Industries of Mato Grosso (Fiemt), was created aiming to represent the bioenergy industries of the state, as well as take part in studies to improve production processes and strengthen the regional economy.



    Biosul, the Association of Bioenergy Producers of Mato Grosso do Sul, represents the state’s sugar-energy industry. Its main role is to strengthen the bioenergy sector in the state and in the country. To this end, it is essential to integrate the sugar-energy sector with other channels of social representation.

    SIFAEG was founded in 1984 and operates in the state of Goiás, legally representing ethanol producers and coordinating institutional actions with government bodies, trade associations, business segments, institutions, etc. The purpose of this union is to constantly promote the modernization of the sugar-energy industry, always following the precepts of socio-environmental sustainability.



    Sindalcool – Bioenergia Paraíba is an association of ethanol, sugar and bioelectricity industries and a trade union. It works on decarbonization starting in the fields and ending with the enhancement of ethanol on the consumer market. It promotes research into biotechnology applied to the production process, irrigation, the restoration of native forests and air quality monitoring.



    SINDIAÇÚCAR works for the development of the sugar-alcohol sector in the state of Pernambuco. It conducts studies, provides legal assistance to members, draws up collective bargaining agreements, encourages technological improvement, offers logistical support, develops statistics and assists in conducting the sector’s policies.



    The Union of the Sugar and Alcohol Industry in the State of Alagoas (Sindaçúcar-AL) seeks to create diversity in the sugarcane agribusiness by organizing studies, providing legal assistance, drawing up collective bargaining agreements, encouraging technological improvement, building and developing proposals for social actions and participating in the conduct of social policies.

The association has offices and representations in Brasilia, São Paulo, the United States and Europe.
